It is truly great to be back at Ueno Dai Junior High School again this year. It is my 6th year teaching for Yokosuka City Schools and I have loved every minute of it. This year we are off to a great start. The students enthusiasm for English never ceases to amaze me. I have included a telephone lesson plan. This is used best when demonstrated in front of the class by the JET and myself. I then have all students repeat each phrase after me. You then demonstrate with several students in front of the class. Divide the class up into groups of two and have them practice one conversation, once they master it they move on to another student. You continue this until all conversations are learned. I have found that letting students get out of their seats and move around keeps them interested in the lesson. This ensures everyone has good time learning.
