Elizabeth MacDonald Sakuradai Junior High School 　Again we have delved into a new school year and met new students and members of staff. I have been fortunate this year to return again to Sakuradai JHS where I have been an ALT for the past 3and harf years. I have two other schools which are new for me, Ohtsu JHS and Ro School. Ro School has offered me a great opportunity, allowing me to assist in the English education of the hearing impaired students who attend. The classes are very small and one can really get a sense of the individual students, both junior high and high school. I have to mention how welcoming all the staff members at my new schools have been. It is very comforting when one walks into a school (both new and old), and can feel at ease simply by a ‘good morning,’’ how are you,’ or just by a nod of the head. Again I am grateful to be in the position I am in, it’s encouraging to see the progress of the students who I have known for the past year or two. I look forward to the rest of the school year, including the sports festival, which is an event not to be missed. 　ALT・TOPへ
